S2 E16: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Purpose with Lindsay Gary
Today, I'm very excited to share a conversation I recorded with Lindsay Gary, a professor-scholar, multi-disciplinary artivist, and social entrepreneur on a mission to educate, connect and empower the African diaspora.
I met Lindsay on a media trip to Houston last year, my first and last trip of 2020. Lindsay inspired me so much with her approach to living out her life's purpose. Her bravery to pursue her passions and not let anyone put her in a box is something we can all learn from.
In this episode, Lindsay talks about staying true to your purpose, finding time in our busy days to dedicate to what matters, and the value of asking important questions as a method for finding our paths forward. It’s what has led her on her journey in becoming a choreographer, educator, founder of a nonprofit, and artist.
I loved talking to Lindsay about her path and I can't wait to share this conversation with you!
“Everyone here has a purpose. And maybe that purpose is not one thing. Or maybe you have one purpose that manifests itself differently in different avenues. I want to encourage people to go after that, to have the confidence to do those things, especially if you are really being called to do them.”
